Change of plans

Someone once said that the only constant in this life is change. Well that is definitely true for the Stokes family! After some careful research Ellen realized that if she changed her minor to psychology and took a lot of credits in winter and spring that she could graduate this coming July. This meant that she would be done with school before we left for medical school. We were so excited!! This also meant that we no longer needed a place for her to study while Bradley is at medical school so now we are leaning more towards going to Des Moines Iowa in August. The school there is the one Bradley liked the most so that is exciting!
In other news Bradley's sister Lacey has been called on a mission to the Uruguay Montevideo mission which is the same mission as her dad! We are so excited for Lacey and wish her a huge congratulations.
Other than that school and work is as busy as ever but we are finding ways to have fun as we go through it all! We are very much looking forward to spending time in Colorado for Thanksgiving and being able to see all of the family there! We cant wait! Bradley is especially excited for all the pie! That is his favorite part!

Fieldtrip!

Well, first and foremost lets just say that Bradley got into Midwestern!! Yeeee-haaa!!! That's good news for the both of us! Yesterday we went on this very long geology fieldtrip for school. It was fun...but did we mention long? Mesa falls was my favorite. We went to Yellowstone and Montana and saw all a bunch of natural disaster sights. Bradley said his favorite part was about the earthquake...but I honestly don't remember the earthquake part. And we also want to say 'Hi' to everyone also...so hi.

We have some good news! Bradley has been accepted to two medical schools so far! One in Iowa and the other in Mesa, Arizona. He is very relieved to have that hurdle past him. We are still hoping to hear from Midwestern in Glendale, Arizona!

It's starting to get cold here in Rexburg and we saw some snow today! We've just been trying to stay cozy in our apartment! The semester is almost halfway over and time is flying by! Bradley's teaching job in Blackfoot is going great and Ellen enjoys her tutoring!

Summer Fun, But School's In!!!

Hello Everyone! Bradley and I had a great last few weeks of our summer break! We decided to go on a weekend long date late in August and ended up going to an aquarium, the planetarium, shopping, The Melting Pot, and museums in the Salt Lake area! It was a ton of fun!

Last weekend we went camping in "unknown" territory somewhere Southeast of Rexburg! It was the greatest camping spot ever and boy did we eat some good dutch-oven food! Nathan and Andrea went with us and it was sooooo fun! We played lots of Bocce ball!

School started this week. Talk about a slam! Just kidding! We love school! Bradley is a the lead TA again in the Biology department and he really likes it! He's also teaching Anatomy and Physiology at the massage school in Blackfoot. I just got a job yesterday as the Sociology tutor...should be adventurous! Other than that we were able to go to the Parade of Homes today and see some over the top homes!

Well, we had one more little party for Bradley and his twin brother Nathan on Sunday night! Bradley had to have a confetti cake which we all thought was amusing, but surprisingly good! Here's some pictures!

Birthday!!!

August 7th was Bradley's 24th birthday! He is getting to be quite the old man these days! JK!! We had a wonderful time celebrating his birthday. He was very lucky and got off of his work early both on the 7th and the 8th. On the 7th we went to a new italian restaurant here in Rexburg called Amicias. The food was really good and the company even better (Obviously!!) Then on the 8th we had a family dinner at Ruby River Steak house. It was really fun and we even got free desert and a picture with a really cool hat! Congratulations as well to Nathan who also turned 24! (Also very obvious) It was really fun to have the whole new family all together again! Thanks to everybody for the fabulous birthday!

Lagoon!!!

This past weekend we had a mini vacation to Lagoon!! It was Ellen's first time at Lagoon and Bradley hadn't been for years. We were able to ride all of the big roller coasters except for the biggest one "Wicked" because...we got scared. I (Ellen) liked the Spider and Fire Dragon!!! Bradley's favorite was the Spider. Basically the Spider was fun because the actual cart you sit in spins while the roller coaster does it's thing. We rode backwards for most of it and laughed our heads off. We were also very pleased to have Dip n Dots because we hadn't had it for so long. I even thought they had gone out of business so I was really excited!! So yummy!!

We were also able to stay with Grandma and Grandpa Watson! Thanks for your hospitality Saturday night! We had a blast!

Here are also a few pictures we took at Nathan and Andrea's wedding! It was nice to not be the ones in the spot light and we partied! But Kudos to Nathan and Andrea!

Hey everyone! We made a blog so everyone can keep up on our lives! We'll have lots of fun pictures and things to show you as the year keeps moving on! For now we are just enjoying our cute little apartment in Rexburg during the seven week break before school starts again in the fall!!!

Bradley graduates (hopefully) from BYU-Idaho in December with a B.S. in Biology! Go Bradley! He's sent in medical school applications and we hope to hear back soon! Ellen still has a ways to go with school (1-2) years to be exact. She's studying Sociology and loving every minute of it!
